Roku Gin is a premium Japanese craft gin from Suntory (House of Suntory), launched in 2017 and inspired by the Japanese concept of “shun” — enjoying ingredients at their seasonal peak. The name “Roku” means “six” in Japanese, honoring six distinctive Japanese botanicals harvested at their best across the four seasons: sakura (cherry blossom) flower and leaf (spring), sencha tea and gyokuro tea (summer), sansho pepper (autumn), and yuzu peel (winter). These are combined with eight traditional gin botanicals (juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root/seed, cardamom, cinnamon, lemon peel, bitter orange peel, and others) and gently vapor-infused for a clean, harmonious extraction.

At 43% ABV (86 proof), Roku offers a smooth, silky texture with a balanced profile:

• Nose: Delicate floral cherry blossom and sweet green tea, with bright yuzu citrus and subtle spice.
• Palate: Complex and multi-layered — vibrant yuzu leads, followed by juniper, green tea (sencha/gyokuro notes), gentle sansho pepper spice, citrus peel, and hints of floral/earthy botanicals, with a crisp, dry finish.
• Finish: Clean, refreshing, and harmonious — not overly juniper-heavy, with lingering tea and citrus elegance.
